Submit your abstract!

Abstract submissions are closed!

You can find more information regarding the important dates below.

Please note: registration to the submission platform is not a registration to the Conference.
For more information on the registrations visit the Registration page.

Submission Procedure

  • The title must be lowercase, with only the first letter in uppercase.
  • The maximum length of the abstract is 200 words.
  • Presenting authors can submit a maximum of one abstract

If more than one of your abstracts is accepted, at least one co-author of the second abstract will have to register for the conference before the deadline for the authors’ registration.

Please, note that only the abstracts of registered presenting authors will be inserted in the program. The registration to the Congress is considered completed only upon payment.

After having created your account on the Conftool submission platform you will be able to submit your abstract by clicking on “Your submissions”.

Choose the format of your abstract and fill out the form.

Remember to press the “Save Submission” button on the second screen in order for your abstract to be considered for the reviewing process!

Authors of accepted contributions are required to register and pay a fee to attend the Conference, as well as cover their own travel to Bologna and accommodation costs in this city.

Without a completed registration to the Conference of at least one author, the contribution will not be included in the program.

Presenting authors must complete their registration by March 21, 2024 (midnight CET).

Please, note that the registration fee allows the presentation of only one contribution. This rule does not apply to those who have a symposium, workshop or training course accepted, meaning that you can present both a Sym/W/TC and an abstract for a regular session.

– if your presentation does not fall within any of the symposia ALREADY ACCEPTED in the call for proposals dedicated to symposia, workshops, and training courses, which closed in November 2023, but you flagged the name of one or more symposia instead of “None”.

If you believe that your abstract aligns well with the themes of one of the accepted symposia, please simply add a text note in the designated space. Session topics will instead refer to keywords, which we ask you to review and fill out carefully.

– If you have uploaded more than one abstract as PRESENTER. Only speakers of already accepted symposia can present two abstracts, one for the symposium and the other for a regular session. If you have submitted more than one contribution and are not among the speakers of symposia, please remove the abstract of the work that you will not be presenting.
